Celebration Festival

Everything on this site is a Celebration Festival, so why isn’t everyone happy?

The short answer is two-fold.

Fold-One, the Celebration of Jesus is an acquired taste that only a new mind given from God can accept and rejoice in. It takes being “made new in the attitude of our minds” to accept, appreciate, and rejoice in this Celebration of Jesus.

Fold-Two, the desire for heaven is a deceitful lust of religious flesh. Everyone wants to keep their sinful self yet still go to heaven. This is why there are so many religions, faiths, and denominations.

You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; (Ephesians 4:22-23)

With all the suffering aspects of following Jesus, with all the total denying of self, persecutions, oppositions along with the disciplines of God, keeping up this Festival Celebration is a tough call. It is a suffering to ensure purity, holiness, and righteousness are overflowing in everyone’s lives. And few are those who really want to give up all of sinful self. It is a festival where vengeance, malice, and wickedness down to the smallest size of yeast is dealt with as if it were the most grievous of sins. It is a celebration where the tiniest yeast size of lies and insincerity are swept out of everyone’s lives. The vast majority are highly defensive about the grossest of sins in their lives therefore to talk about a celebration of purity is a mighty offensive party to attend.

Therefore let us keep the Festival, not with the old yeast, the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with bread without yeast, the bread of sincerity and truth. (1 Corinthians 5:8)

Think of the 12 Apostles. For over 3-1/2 years they followed Jesus in a state of total confusion, frustration, and turmoil before they were shown the resurrection of Jesus. Then after the resurrection of Jesus their lives were poured out for others as they faced persecutions and some even death.

Was it worth it?

It goes without saying that they, nor I, would trade the love of God and His benefits of Truth, purity, righteousness, and hope of being with Jesus forever at any level. Eventually, if you persevere long enough, surrender self, and are trained by God’s righteousness you will be able to say in delight with Paul:  …for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (2 Corinthians 12:10)

Finding another disciple of Jesus, let alone a church that finds it a celebration to serve the Living God with great humility and tears is very rare indeed. Note well that this great humility and tears have the added turmoil of constantly be plotted against by those who live as enemies of the cross. Make no mistake. Many will plot to put you to the test.

I served the Lord with great humility and with tears, although I was severely tested by the plots of the Jews. (Acts 20:19)

It is almost laughable to suggest that there are congregations that would hire a Paul and follow such a preacher as he follows Christ. The celebrations going on in churches today are entertainment not joy given by the Holy Spirit. For the joy of the Holy Spirit is only given to those who are following Jesus on the way to Jerusalem with a waiting crucifixion.

Do Not Associate

This Festival Celebration can only happen if you obey God by not associating with those who attend the Jesus Church of Deceitful Desires.

Remember our scripture above? Therefore let us keep the Festival, not with the old yeast, the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with bread without yeast, the bread of sincerity and truth. (1 Corinthians 5:8)

Well let us read on further to see how we can get into this party.

Get rid of the old yeast that you may be a new batch without yeast–as you really are. For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed. Therefore let us keep the Festival, not with the old yeast, the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with bread without yeast, the bread of sincerity and truth. I have written you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people– not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat. What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? (1 Corinthians 5:7-12)

To celebrate this Festival of God you have to judge those around you. This is the ticket to get in the door. Anyone claiming to be a Christian but is

    • sexually immoral
    • greedy
    • swindler
    • idolater
    • slanderer
    • drunkard and so on you cannot eat with.

And by the way, this is not a complete list as there are other scriptures that are the minimum requirement to get into this party, this celebration of holiness. Grumblers must go. Faultfinders must go or repent. The lazy must repent or be sent bye-bye from the church.

If you, or your church, will not do this one simple clear command of Jesus then such have no right to complain about the Christian church at large for being foolish.

After all purity, revival, life, the Celebration of Jesus begins, or ends, with you.

The top drawer point is this.

If you want to celebrate the Festival of Jesus you have to let God clean you up.

If you desire to want to desire the sufferings of Jesus so that you can celebrate with other pure hearted Christians then you have to withdraw from those who do not want to celebrate.

The only church enjoying the Celebration of Jesus, finding such to be a party indeed, are those who let God slaughter them just as He did with His beloved Son.

Walk in the Light, let God begin to clean you up and do not associate with those who Claim The Name yet refuse to repent.

This party constitutes:

A life of selfless love.

A fragrant giving up of oneself to be slaughtered by God.

No hint of sexual immorality.

No hint of impurity.

No hint of greed.

No obscenity, foolish talk, or coarse joking.

Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person–such a man is an idolater–has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore do not be partners with them. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. (Ephesians 5:1-11)

Begin by accepting full the Truth that though they claim Jesus such do not have any inheritance of heaven coming. Period.

For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person–such a man is an idolater–has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient.

If anyone does not love the Lord–a curse be on him.
Come, O Lord ! (1 Corinthians 16:22)
