The man who thinks he knows something
does not yet know as he ought to know.
(1 Corinthians 8:2)
If you think you have the full gospel message figured out – think again.
If you think you have this hating for Jesus doctrine figured out – thank again.
If you think you have the message of the cross figured out and are ready to preach it – think again.
If you think you have the godly servants of the Living God figured out – really best to think this out again.
Not My Own
If you think this teaching is from me – think again.
If you think sharing Jesus is not a spirit of prophecy – think again. At this I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, “Do not do it! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” (Revelation 19:10)
If you think hating for Jesus is something I apply – think again.
If you think carrying my cross is of my design – think again.
If you think I work on my behalf in Jesus’ name – think again.
If you think death to self brings attention to oneself – think again.
If you think there is some hidden sin or failure lurking somewhere – think again.
If you think this about me, a possible con-artist, false-person or liar – best to think again.
“If anyone chooses to do God’s will, he will find out…” that all of this is true and I am, like them, being crucified with Christ and becoming a man in the Truth. We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood. (1 John 4:6) All others will either ignore or persecute because their understanding is of them, by them and for them.
If anyone chooses to do God’s will, he will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own, because they too will be receiving, like Jesus their teaching from God and speaking not from their own study and talents but as speaking the very words of Christ. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves, he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen. (1 Peter 4:11)
If you choose to really loose your life for Jesus you will find out what I found out that teaching and speaking come from above. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me and for the gospel will save it. (Mark 8:35) To those whom God blesses by convicting them they are nothing special, the holiness of God shall work and will unto the abundant life. When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways.” (Acts 3:26)
That this learning, this teaching, these doctrines are not my own and I bow in amazement of what God does work. It is a double-edged sword that strikes at me as “I” preach and teach. In his right hand he held seven stars, and out of his mouth came a sharp double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all its brilliance. (Revelation 1:16)
If anyone chooses to do God’s will,
he will find out whether my teaching comes from God
or whether I speak on my own.
Those who have been enlightened by the cross crucifying them are men and women of the Living Truth – there is nothing false in them.
All others are walking and preaching religious falsehoods and there is nothing honest in them.
If anyone does not love the Lord–a curse be on him.
Come, O Lord ! (1 Corinthians 16:22)
