When God looks at you, He is “grieved” that you were created.
When God’s heart contemplates you He is “filled with pain.”
The Lord was grieved that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was filled with pain. (Genesis 6:6)
In spite of this fact, God still has Good News for those who are willing to be made into a different person.
Good news comes in many variations but only one news is The Good News.
God’s Good News comes from His throne for which no other news dare compare.
God is love and desires none be thrown into hell. God is The Truth and such holiness cannot tolerate any shade of a lie.
Therefore in mercy God lays before you a choice.
- Your sinful self or a new self.
- Your lies or The Truth in the inmost place.
- Your false beliefs or believing on a Jesus that is Lord over you.
The Good News of God offers mercy from hell if we surrender to the Truth.
However, it will cost you all of your worthless you. One would think that giving up what is worthless would be a no-brainier. But alas, and this is why God is mad as hell, the vast majority cling to the lie that their worthless self is a selfie worth taking.
In short the Truth is a surrender to the fact your sins have made you worthless and a regret to God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.” (Romans 3:12)
Surrender your pride, sins and lies, all that you really are to the mercy of God and Jesus shall create a brand new you. A selfless, humble and righteous acting individual by the power and will of the Living God.
This is the meaning and power of being “born again.”
In reply Jesus declared, “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. “
Mercy for past sins?
Conviction of sins everyday to repent from?
Being made brand new with power to be self-disciplined, righteous and holy just by obeying the voice of Jesus?
Now, that is what I call Good News!
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. (Matthew 5:6)
