Man’s Faithfulness – God’s Righteousness
True victories in Jesus are won the old-fashioned way.
The old-fashioned way of Abraham, the father of our faith.
Who obeyed moving on where he knew not.
And after he had moved on, where he knew not, he would believe God in a place where he was credited with righteousness.
Years later Abraham, still Abram, because he had obeyed would now find himself in a place where God could credit His righteousness.
The same is true with us.
To gain any victory in Jesus you have to obey and move on to follow the Living God. Faithfulness and righteous will then, and only then, kiss.
Then God said to him, “So shall your offspring be.”
Abram believed the Lord , and he credited it to him as righteousness.
He also said to him, “I am the Lord , who brought you out of Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land to take possession of it.” (Genesis 15:3-7)
Such are only won through a very close faithful obedient walk with God. But, as is clear by now, hating one’s life and suffering with Christ to do what you do not want to do is hotly rejected and seldom seen. The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me. (John 12:25-26) For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. (Galatians 5:17)
Do not be fooled by the wide-gate gospel calls or your weak-willed Christian walk. Only those who are faithful in obedience are being saved. For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. (1 Corinthians 1:18)
Any victory, whether small or great that is won by the power of God comes about only by moving ever closer in obedience to the Holy Spirit. The cheap victories around you are merely a part of the powerful delusion sent by God. For this reason God sends them a powerful delusion so that they will believe the lie (2 Thessalonians 2:11)
Many a churchgoer, many a “believer” are given a spirit, but it is not the Holy Spirit. This is easily spotted by how little obedience through the sufferings of Christ are displayed in their lives. How little conforming there is to the Bible, let alone the Spirit of the Living God. Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you. Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. (James 1:21-22)
Many, come that fateful day will be denounced by Jesus because they did not repent when God poured forth His holy presence.
