Winning Friends

Got To Love Jesus

You got to love Jesus.

With Him it is either or.

Either you love God and despise the dollar or you love money and despise the Living God.

Based on this Truth does your life, your church and the ministries around you reflect the hating and despising of money as the Holy Spirit leds? A following of the Holy Spirit that causes your reliance and enjoyment of money to be painfully resisted and crucified unto resurrected giving. (Nope not looking for a donation.)

If not, you know the answer concerning the reality of their Christian faith.

Those who submit themselves to be servants of Jesus will be led of the Holy Spirit to win friends for God through their outward display of hating and despising money.

When outsiders look at the Christian Church they should have a look of bewilderment upon their faces. Maybe even a raised eye-brow or two because both the attitude and usage of money just doesn’t line up with worldly reasoning.

Not “if” But “when”

Notice well that Jesus does not say “if” your money is gone, but, “when” your money is gone. If you are following the Living God you to will have the goal die having spent your last dime of the last penny to win a friend for Jesus.

I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings. (Luke 16:9)
Such is the joy and freedom of hating and despising money. After all  In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’  (Acts 20:35)

Hard Work

Perhaps the reason persecution is always over ideology rather than righteousness is because seldom, if ever in America, is God’s love finding room to flow through enough disciples surrendered to Jesus while finding the joy that comes from hating and despising money in order to win friends for Jesus.

That everyone wants to win souls for Jesus to gain membership and tithes but Jesus said to win friends by giving away. Instead “Christians” are known for being “proper” and “tightfisted” when it comes to money, not winning souls through daily lives displaying a hatred and despising of wealth. The first New Testament Church had all things in common but todays church has all things in their back-up pockets. All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they had. (Acts 4:32)

It takes hard work to go to the cross and suffer against money in order to be able to live a life of love by despising the dollar. How sad to see so many running from hard work born of selfless love. Such have chosen the “or money” option to their own damnation.

Alas, as Jesus said the real workers are few and far between. In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ “ (Acts 20:35)

Now you know why the honest true workers for Jesus are extremely difficult to find.

Then he said to his disciples, The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. (Matthew 9:37)

Love With A Holy Kiss

Because the command to hate and despise money is whitewashed away the powerful grace to love given by God is withheld.

Behold the depth of love after the Good Book points out the need for hard work?

Paul speaks of hard work the blessed freedom of being able to give because one hates and despises money then we see the depth of love God is able to work for they all kneel down, pray then weep, embrace and kiss the command of a holy kiss.  In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ” When he had said this, he knelt down with all of them and prayed. They all wept as they embraced him and kissed him. (Acts 20:35-37)

When was the last time you saw such a greeting of love in a Christian Church?

A command of love for the heart of Christians whose spirits are set on fire in love for God and His holy saints.

A command that is repeated 5 times.

And you call yourself an obedient Christian church.

Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ send greetings. (Romans 16:16)

All the brothers here send you greetings. Greet one another with a holy kiss. (1 Corinthians 16:20)

Greet one another with a holy kiss. (2 Corinthians 13:12)

Greet all the brothers with a holy kiss. (1 Thessalonians 5:26)

Greet one another with a kiss of love. Peace to all of you who are in Christ. (1 Peter 5:14)

Peace to all who are honestly in Christ’s outpoured love –  Amen!

Warning: Do not attempt to obey the commands for a holy kiss because it is a holy kiss. There is much cleaning up God must do before a holy kiss can be freely and safely expressed among a group of believers. We are told that love builds up and this kind of love worked and willed by the Living God requires some hard work sufferings against sin in a person’s life. We know that we all possess knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up. (1 Corinthians 8:1)
