A word of warning from www.luke1425.org
Because Jesus directs all to “sit down” and consider the cost before following Him.
We live in terrible times and it is only going to get worse. Jesus warned in Matthew 24:12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold,…
The love of righteousness, self-discipline and holiness is growing very cold even as churches worship the Christian God.
A quick look at the Christian church demonstrates all too clearly that things are in a terrible, sinful, corrupted mixture of wickedness and professed belief in God.
Paul the Apostle wrote the young preacher Timothy to, “mark this.”
We too should highlight and “mark” the signs of terrible times happening in Christianity.
Terrible times of people loving themselves while claiming to be a Christian.
Terrible times of people being lovers of money as they sing hymns in church.
Of being…
…boastful
…proud
…abusive
…ungrateful
…unholy
…without love
…unforgiving
…slanderous
…undisciplined
…brutal
…hostile to those who do good
…treacherous
…rash
…conceited
…lovers of fun rather than obey God.
These individuals claim to believe in God but their faith is a lie.
Let us read 2 Timothy 3:1-5
But mark this:
There will be terrible times in the last days.
People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God– having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with them. (2 Timothy 3:1-5)
What is a cross carrying Christian to do?
What did Paul command Timothy to preach to the congregation?
What would God have true disciples of Jesus obey?
God commands that such honest believers in Jesus, “Have nothing to do with them.”
Nothing
Zero
Not a thing…
Have “nothing to do” with such false Christians because as Titus 1:16 declares, they are unable to do anything good for Jesus:
They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good. (Titus 1:16)
This video brought to you by www.luke1425.org because Jesus told those seeking Him to sit down and think about the cost before claiming salvation.
